The Giving Block platform now supports recurring donations, which allows for donors to sign up to donate on a monthly or annual frequency. Nonprofits can now receive new income stream through committed, long-term donors.
We have launched phase one of the development for recurring donations through your donation form. Currently, donors are able to view and update their plans. In the coming weeks, the ability for you to view and update the recurring plans will be made available.
With this, you can better project your fundraising goals and strategies. Recurring donations allows your nonprofit to plan your activities in advance based on the current number of recurring donors you have.
Donation Form Upgrade:
There is now a new donation form! Donors can now easily create a monthly or annual recurring donation to their chosen organization via the old & new donation form. The previous donation form had frequencies appear in a separate page after selecting "card". The new donation form will allow for donors to view it all in one convenient location below the payment method spot. If you are on the old donation form, we will be reaching out to you in the coming months to upgrade from the support@thegivingblock.com email.

Donor Data
Recurring donations provide up-to-date information on the donor. Recurring donations cannot be made anonymously for regulatory reasons. This makes it much easier for the nonprofit to contact the donor to upgrade or convert their donation further. This enables your nonprofit to receive full data sets about donors.
Donor Dashboard
Donors can login to their account, view their donation plans & update information like card & frequency. The donor also has the ability to cancel the donation from here.

Client users can see the "frequency" column added to the transactions page to make it easier to identify recurring donations.
In the event of a donor's recurring donation failing, the donor will be sent an email requesting that they log in and update their credit card details.
Recurring donations will provide you with additional tools to continue your excellent work and increase your donations.
