How to Embed a Donation Form for a Single Type of Asset

Instructions to create a donation form with a single payment method: 

1. Access The Giving Block Dashboard.
2.  Find the Dashboard menu on the left, Click Organizations
3. Next Click "View/Edit Organizations."
4. Click on the "Donation Form" tab.
5. Toggle the "Advanced Settings" button on.
6. You have the option to choose if you would prefer an embedded widget or a popup version of the donation form. 
   1. Embedded version: By selecting the embedded form, your organization's donation form seamlessly integrates within the giving page. 
   2. Popup version: When donors click the 'Donate Now' button,  your organization's donation form will appear. You can modify the text in the 'button text field'.
7. Under the 'Donation Methods' header; customize your donation form by checking and unchecking payment/donation options so that it only includes the one that you wish to display.
8. The snippet for your customized donation form will be automatically generated. You will be able to see your changes in the preview pane on the right.
9. Click the "Copy" button to copy the donation form snippet.
10. Paste the snippet in the desired location in your webpage HTML.

Here are a few other ways your donation form is customizable:

• Allow Anonymous Donations: 

• • You can choose whether to accept anonymous donations, in line with your gift acceptance policy. To enable/disable this feature, reach out to support@thegivingblock.com. Please note, if you enable anonymous donations, it applies to all donation types uniformly.

• Enable Receipt Email: 

• • we provide the convenience of sending auto receipts for your donations. If you wish to disable the auto receipt feature, simply send a request to our dedicated support team at support@thegivingblock.com, To learn more about auto receipts click HERE.

• Donor Notes: 

• • Enabling this feature will allow the donor to leave a special note. To enable this feature, email support@thegivingblock.com.

• Funds Designation: 

• • When this feature is enabled, donors have the ability to choose a specific impact area that they would like to donate to. To learn how to enable this feature on your donation form, please refer to this informative article.

If you  need multiple donation forms on a single webpage:

1. Click on 'Advanced Settings.' You have the option to choose if you would prefer an embedded donation form or a popup version of the donation form. 
2. Scroll down and select the checkbox 'I need multiple donation forms on a single webpage.'
3. Assign a unique Script ID to each snippet. This is a unique identifier for your donation form. You can do this by renaming the default script ID
   1. EG. tgb-widget-script-crypto 
4. Under the 'Donation Methods' header; create your first donation form by unchecking payment options you do not want included. (For example leave Crypto and uncheck everything else)
5. The snippet for your customized donation form will be automatically generated. You will be able to see your changes in the preview pane on the right.
6. Click the "Copy" button to copy the donation form snippet.
7. Paste the snippet in the desired location in your webpage HTML.
8. Repeat steps 3-7 until you have all of your individualized donation forms desired.
