Endaoment Integration
What is the relationship between Endaoment and The Giving Block?
Since 2020, Endaoment and The Giving Block have worked together to provide nonprofits with world-class service. This partnership was a natural next step in our relationship and is the result of years of working side-by-side behind the scenes.
Why is this happening?
The Giving Block is integrating Endaoment's ecosystem into their offerings by automatically onboarding all new clients to our platform. This way, they have the opportunity to receive donations through Endaoment's crypto donor-advised fund.
We want to bring greater flexibility and visibility into the larger crypto philanthropy space and are excited to bring both Endaoment and The Giving Block to more nonprofits and donors across the country.
Are there additional fees to receive donations through Endaoment?
No, this is included as a free service for all eligible clients of The Giving Block.
How will I know which donations have come from Endaoment?
Donations from Endaoment will appear in your dashboard transaction CSV report with the origin listed as API:Endaoment.
Please see our article Transaction CSV Report for further guidance.
Can I opt out of this additional service?
Yes, you are welcome to opt out if you so chose. Please reach out to support@thegivingblock.com if you would like to opt out of receiving donations through Endaoment.
How will my organization receive the donations through Endaoment?
Donations through Endaoment will arrive to your wallet, like any other crypto donation through The Giving Block. All donations from Endaoment will arrive as USDC, and will be logged in your Dashboard alongside your other donations.
These funds will be added to the balance of your regularly scheduled Friday transfers.
When will my organization be set up to receive donations through Endaoment?
If you completed onboarding with The Giving Block prior to February 1st, 2023, your organization has already been set up with Endaoment to receive your donations through your TGB account.
For organizations onboarding after February 1st, 2023, your organization will be set up with Endaoment approximately one month after you've completed onboarding.
My organization is based outside of the US, are we eligible for this service?
At this time, only US-based 501(c)(3)s are eligible to participate due to Endaoment's eligibility terms. If your organization has a US 501(c)(3) fundraising entity, you can accept funds through that organization.
I already have a wire claim set up with Endaoment, do I need to change that?
We recommend updating this so that you can see consolidated donation information through your TGB dashboard. Please reach out to support@thegivingblock.com if you'd like to update your information with Endaoment to route your donations through your TGB account.
My organization onboarded with The Giving Block using a fiscal sponsor, are we eligible for donations through Endaoment?
Yes. Have your fiscal sponsor complete this form to add your organization to their Endaoment page.
Does my organization need to provide tax receipts for donations through Endaoment?
No. Endaoment will automatically provide receipt for donations made on their platform.
Can I change what appears for my organization on the Endaoment site?
Yes, fill out this form to request a change to the information listed for your organization.
Will there be restrictions on what funding from Endaoment can be used for?
As with other DAFs, the donor is permitted to provide specific instructions for the use of the grant. Should your organization be recommended for a restricted grant, The Giving Block will reach out to you to confirm your acceptance.
How long will it take to receive an approved grant?
Unrestricted grants will process within 1-2 business days. Restricted grants require acknowledgement and confirmation that the funds will support the special instructions, so the timing of processing will likely be longer. Should your organization be recommended for a restricted grant, The Giving Block will reach out to you to confirm your acceptance. The restricted grant will then be processed.
Will we receive donor data through the TGB dashboard with this integration?
For donations coming through Endaoment, Endaoment is considered the donor. There is no donor data to be entered on the Endaoment platform. Donations are made to Endaoment for the benefit of your organization, similarly to a donation you would receive from another charity or a donor-advised fund as they are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
