Donation tributes allows donors to dedicate their contributions to their friends and loved ones, adding a personal touch to their generosity.
Donation notes need to be turned on in order for this feature to work. In order to enable donation notes and donation tributes please reach out to support@thegivingblock.com.
Donating with a Tribute - How It Works:
The donor will simply access the donation form, and find a new option labeled "Dedicate this donation tribute to a friend or loved one."
Clicking the checkbox will lead them to a section within the donation form where they can add a meaningful dedication note and the recipient's name.
Optionally, donors can choose to notify the honoree about the thoughtful donation made in their name.
Once the dedication details are filled out, a notification email will be sent to both you and the honoree (if that option has been selected), making the experience even more heartwarming and memorable.
Viewing Tributes in the Nonprofit Dashboard:
In the nonprofit dashboard's transaction CSV report, you will find two new columns: "Tribute Name" and "Tribute Notification Email." These columns will provide you with all the information you need to appreciate and acknowledge these heartwarming acts of kindness.
