Accepting Card Gifts Through Your Donation Form

We are thrilled to offer you even more ways to attract gifts from new donors with your products and services from The Giving Block. We are adding cash donations to the ways donors can support your organization right within your donation form*. Please find FAQ's below and email our team at support@thegivingblock.com with any additional questions.

Why accept card donations through The Giving Block?

Lots of young investors (crypto and stocks alike) don't know about the tax incentive to donate appreciated assets. For all the young investors who see our campaigns, but aren't tax-literate enough to give crypto or stocks yet, we want to offer them an option to donate now and learn later. This approach will make us the platform that stewards young donors into larger non-cash assets for the first time, helping nonprofits earn their donations for a lifetime.

Crypto is our focus. Cards are a new feature on our crypto donation platform. Our focus continues to be on bringing you net new dollars from net new donors. This new feature is not meant to replace the way you take card donations on your website.

Do you charge more for Amex?

Yes, an additional 1% is charged for Amex. Other processors like Stripe which are used by Classy, FundraiseUp, Donorbox and many others charge this as well.
